Midnight had been alone for his entire life and he didn't mind. He didn't get to see his parents but that's fine. He could've had friends. But that was fine. He liked being alone. Soon, that will change one fateful day as he stumbled upon a fainted Sylveon and decided to bring her back to his den.

Update: Currently am revising chapters but will post some new ones pretty soon. Made small edits for formatting. Will release the revised first chapter at three hundred views.
Small update: If the revised chapter does well, this book will be discontinued and I'll put my focus onto the revised book. If not, I'll continue working on this book. The chapter will be coming out soon (if this book did get three hundred views, I would've expedited my work). It should be coming out in a week or so.

Timeline of Errors
The story is set two years after our protagonists ran away from the crumbling building. Borderline depressed, empty, and disconnected, Valen ceased all forms of battling due to a newfound fear for violence and took up a corporate job. Unfortunately, that was not all she stood to lose as a mysterious power affected the Pokemon Centres and Pokeballs to enforce permadeaths. It is as it was foretold: the curtains will not close until a hero is no more. A bit of a warning, it's meant to be a rather absurd, edgy story of how bad things just happen, people are just doing whatever, and how people are pushed to be "saviours", but some may also find it sort of depressing. I've been told that I describe my thoughts in an uncomfortably visceral way which I never realised. So, if you feel sick, please stop reading right away. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Pokemon appearing in the story nor the items (Pokeball, Potions, gym badges, etc.) or moveset and some location (Sunnyshore City) as they belong to Gamefreak and Nintendo.
