Cyrus Kent has always known he was different. As the youngest son of famed reporter Lois Lane and mild-mannered farmer Clark Kent, Cyrus possesses emotional intelligence beyond his years and extraordinary gifts rivaling the Man of Steel himself. When a telling interaction reveals that Cyrus may know his father's biggest secret, Lois panics. Clark dismisses her concerns, believing Cyrus is too young for his Kryptonian powers to emerge. But after an illuminating parent-teacher conference, Lois and Clark make a life-altering decision - send Cyrus away to live with his grandmother in Smallville.

Thrust into a new school and town, Cyrus struggles to suppress his extraordinary gifts and talents far rivaling that of his father. But he soon realizes he may not be the only one hiding unearthly abilities in this small town. As Cyrus begins learning more about the origin of his powers, a malevolent presence begins to lurk at the edge of town, forcing the young outcast to act. As the body count rises, something stirs within Cyrus, like something that was in deep sleep has finally awoken. If Cyrus wishes to save the ones he loves, he must unleash his full potential.

But saving the town could come at a greater cost. Will Cyrus master his abilities in time or succumb to the chaos that plagues his soul? The fate of Smallville rests in the hands of the Kent family's enigmatic son.
