Eddie escapes near death in the upside down. He lives but at what cost? He's horribly traumatized and still has to finish highschool on top of it. The bullying from the remaining alive jocks and the trauma from the event make it hard to live on everyday.
Sometimes Eddie wishes he had died that day. Even with support from his friends and his now boyfriend Steve Harrington, it's still hard for him to go about day to day life. Still, sort of determined to finish highschool. Will Eddie find a way to pull through this hellish life he lives in? Or will he fall apart like he wished he did that day?

Steve(21) Hasn't had a chance to leave this awful place. He has stayed around for the kids, wanting nothing more to be there for each one's graduation. Confused. Lonely. Depression has really started to hit in the last couple of years after all of the tragic losses to the upsidedown. Nearly losing everything and everyone he's cared for and loved. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college. Until he realizes maybe he's not so alone here, sparking a true friendship with the most unlikely person, Eddie Munson. Eddie(22) hasn't been able to get out of this town either after swearing he would get the hell out of here many years ago. The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more?
