note: this was actually a piece i submitted to a literary magazine for publishing in 2019 as a project for a creative writing course i took, which is why it's as short as it is. i have heavily contemplated making a longer story based on this little one, so if that interests anybody i'd love to know :)

When you meet your soulmate, a matching mark appears on your wrist. When your soulmate dies, it scars over. If you find a new soulmate, you get a new mark. Butters thought this to be lies.
