    Maven knew his head wasn't all his. Most of it was altered, or stained by his mother, the former Queen Elara. His love for his brother and father, it's been destroyed. His love for Mare Barrow, the new-blood with lightning abilities, was tainted, and turned into a horrid obsession.
    
    But his love for Thomas.. Thomas, the red-blooded boy from the front. 
    
    His mother tried to destroy it, like she destroyed everything else, but something wouldn't let her. Try as she might, the powerful Queen Elara couldn't erase his love for Thomas.
    
    But Thomas was dead.
