She blamed all the non-action and secrecy on us being weak and poor and without support.

Until I was fourteen, my favorite color was yellow, the color of the sun. I had high hopes for our large family. I was naive. I believed the world was all sunshine and roses and that one day, the sunshine would get to me. It wasn't until later on, when those secrets began unveiling themselves, that I saw it for what it truly was. Then, I saw only red.
