Okay so imagine this. You wake up one morning just like any other Friday and you feel like something's wrong. You don't know what but you know that something dangerous is about to occur. Ignoring the warning signals in your head saying "NO DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL", you get up anyway, get dressed for school and run to try and catch the bus. Everyone is acting weird. The whole day you feel paranoid. But it's not until you arrive at your after school detention that you get the fright of your life.

April is a 17 year old girl. She studies, completes assignments on time, steers clear of drama and cat fights and tries her best to fit in. She's bright and always knows how to light up a room. But, little did they or even April herself know, that she is capable of anything. What happens when she experiences the biggest fright of her life? Will she cry and hide in a corner? Or will she conquer up enough courage to save her fellow classmates from whatever took over the school?

After one of the best evenings of her life, at the junior high school ball, a young girl experiences her first and only kiss. During the awkward moment, something goes terribly wrong and her life is turned upside down, severing her from the usual humdrum of a teenage girl and hurling her into the world of the paranormal. Who can she trust, where can she turn? And what is it with this 'other girl' that has befriended her in this foreign place? Why is this impostor leading her to places she does not want to go and pretending to be someone that she is not? As the young girl drifts unknown paths, she begins to unravel the mysteries, learns of new threats she could not predict and finds herself in situations that cannot be controlled. She discovers these unpredictable threats can cross both lines, creating havoc wherever they appear. Will she find all the answers and pick up the pieces, or will she be lost in this oblivion forever? **N.B. Nolan, an unapproachable guy who ignores the existence of all his schoolmates, sleeps in all of his classes. Normally, this wouldn't be Chelsea Arnold's problem-she does her best to pay attention in class and attends gym like a good, normal student. Unfortunately, she just so happens to be his assigned desk partner in many classes. She's frequently forced to wake him in English class and ends up earning the unofficial title of Nolan's Wake-up Alarm-a title that nobody in the entire school covets. The last thing she wants is to interact with him more than she absolutely has to. One day, their gym teacher sends her to bring him back to class, which he always skips for some reason. When she accidentally shines her flashlight in his sleeping face, it triggers a chain of events that gradually intertwines their lives together. High School. A virtual hell to every pimple covered, greasy haired, knowledge loving kid who walks the halls of the institution. Only a very proud few manage to rise among the ranks to become "the cool kids," snagging the lucky fate of living the best years of their lives up through the twelfth grade. We'll just not tell them what happens after they graduate. In ten years, when the kid the football team swirlied is their boss, they'll realize that it probably would have been better to not be cool when they were teens. But that doesn't matter now. Why you ask? I'll tell you. My name is Bridge, which isn't short for Bridgette, if you were wondering. My parents were assholes when they were younger, I guess. It could have been worse; at least I'm not a piece of fruit or an airline. Unique names can kiss my little undead butt. Oh yeah, that. I'm also dead. No need to apologize—it's not your fault, unless you're the pile of crap who murdered me. If so, could you fill me in on what happened? I'd really like to know how my life ended. I don't know when it happened, or how, but I know I'm crazy. Nothing more, nothing less. Or well, maybe add weird too. Most people tend to stay away from me and it's no mystery why. But then those five hot guys just had to come and kidnap me. Like, why? Because apparently my dad is the leader of an infamous gang and these teenagers want to take him down. Pfft, still doesn't count. Now, I'm just worrying about whether or not I want to get released - an excuse for skipping school? Hell yeah!
