Firelord Zuko, well established in his rule following the hundred year war, has hired an assistant to aid in the day-to-day runnings of his nation. She has been diligent, professional and, most importantly, has taken over all of his paperwork. Recently, however, a series of mishaps has changed how she sees her employer. With her professionalism slipping, will she be able to overcome her desires or will she get burned? This is a shameless reader/self insert x Firelord Zuko romance. Open Beta, so comments, critiques, etc are not only welcome but encouraged. Currently ongoing, this is the SFW version, but with mentions of adult themes so viewer discretion is advised. I have tried to make this as canon-compliant as possible though there may be some character divergence. If anyone has any reccomendations to fix this, help is much appreciated. No use of Y/N, no character descriptions, no mention of body weight color or other defining features, technically no use of pronouns or physical characteristics but does mention character wearing a dress. nsfw version available for 18+ individuals on AO3

Long ago, the four Nations lived together in harmony. Then the Fire Nation attacked. The world was about to change forever and for the airbenders, there would be no coming back. A hundred years after the war, all airbenders save for the Avatar are thought to be dead. But in one of the numerous cells of the Boiling Rock a young airbender named Jaya resides, keeping her identity a secret from all. A thief, a killer. A failure of an airbender. Fate plays a curious game, though, and even the most worthless of people may come to have a second chance. In Jaya's case, it all comes down to one question; how many good deeds are needed until she truly feels she's lived up to her ancestry?
