The cultivation world had forgotten about the people who owned the eyes of a Phoenix, which is now what they believe to be a myth. Wei Wuxian, the Prince of Yunmeng, has come of age. The Jiangs were to give him a masquerade ball for three nights in a row in order for him to choose his spouse. Lan Wangji had planned to visit for just one night, which had gone very wrong. Lan Wangji's eyes were only a light brown when Wei Wuxian studied at the Cloud Recesses. They were not yet the shining gold that has reappeared today.
