In our world, there are people known as psychics who possess extraordinary abilities. Some can levitate, some can see the future, some can see spirits, and so on. However, psychics have to live in secret due to fear of ordinary humans taking advantage of them. This all changed with the awakening...
The awakening was a pivotal moment in history when a baby was born in Qingqing, China, who had the ability to illuminate light, bringing light to the existence of quirks. As the use of quirks became more common, the presence of natural psychics dwindled, being replaced by quirk users.
Psychics still exist, but they often hide their abilities by posing as quirk users to avoid drawing attention to themselves. One such psychic is Kusuo Saiki. He was born with a range of psychic abilities, making him the most powerful man on earth. Kusuo has the power to read minds, teleport, move objects with his mind, and many other abilities. However, he doesn't want to be so powerful. All he desires is a normal, peaceful life.
What if he comes to a realization and finally chooses to become a hero?

"Tch, remind me to never mess with you," Kusuo says and sets my hand down gently. He moves his arms up so they rest comfortably against the back of his head.
"Damn right," I say with a laugh. "If you need a bodyguard, I'm your girl." I throw some fake punches and flex my arms. Kusuo watches me, amusement written all over his face.
"My girl huh?"

Everything is annoying with the world when Saiki arrives at school to find out yet another transfer student will be attending PK academy. He doesn't understand what all the fuss is about and decides that as long as the new student doesn't interfere with his life, then things will be fine.
But of course, Saiki can never seem to have God on his side so when y/n l/n introduces herself, he realizes that his powers of mind-reading don't work.
You seem normal enough so why can't he hear what you're thinking? What makes you different?
