Neil figured out pretty quickly that there's no such thing as a true Hero.

...

Every century, monsters surge across the kingdom of Enkhyria, and only the Heroes can stem the rising tide of darkness.

Unfortunately for the monsters, the Pentarchy outsourced and industrialized the process of Hero-making millennia ago.

Across the land, hundreds of Heroes-summoned in bands of five-are trained, armed, and sent to fight in the kingdoms' war. The gods themselves have blessed them with power, though it is up to each Hero to discover what these blessings do.

Until a tiny mistake screws the whole thing up.

A band of SIX is summoned, and one of the Heroes turns out to be... useless. A rounding error of no particular consequence.

Neil. The mistake-not that he knows it yet. The sixth Hero in his band. He's doing his best, but will that be good enough to convince his keepers to not scrap him for parts?

Hah, no.

...

This is my first book! Err- my first book-type-thing. Serial?

Being my first whatever-this-is, I fully recognize that the writing isn't going to be the best, but that's kind of the whole point in writing it, right?

So... this story sort of follows the Unchosen-One trope, where the main character is summoned with a group of Heroes, but... he ISN'T one. He doesn't figure it out right away, but when the other Heroes start being able to punch through walls and summon swords of holy light, and he's still regular-old-Neil, something must be up.

Luckily, he doesn't turn out TOTALLY helpless...

This story will have action, adventure & Other stuff, probably!

I want you to tear my writing apart! To get better!

One day-in the distant future, maybe-I'd like to even be good!

They were beaten, abused, and treated as slaves. Eventually, the gifted humans rebelled, and a great war began between them. This war would last for years and lead to countless lives lost. Realizing they could never coexist, the gifted humans decided to create a world where they could live freely. This world became known as Trabachi. Hundreds of years later, enter our main character. "You doubt my powers?" "Nope, you're just too stupid to realize that I'm gonna kick your ass." "Your arrogance will be your downfall!" "So you say, wiseguy. Now, shut up and let my fists do the talking." Ah, so I see you're back for round two. Good to know. Congratulations! You, yes you! My dear reader, you are holding my second journal of hilarity and peculiarity After the events of journal one, I had a lot on my plate. For starters, my team and I had a pesky demon problem to deal with in our home country of Alysia. Just when I thought I was finished mopping the floor with our daedric adversaries and that I was free to finally learn more about the strange, wondrous, and deadly world I had been introduced to, a new bad guy shows up and boy, he isn't messing around either. To continue the trend of going to strange places and doing even stranger things, my team and I do everything from helping a dragon priest knock out his asshole of a boss, dealing with a diplomatic crisis the only way we know best, to even traveling to the home country of my pointy-eared friends. (A.K.A the elves.) You knew it was going to happen, so prepare yourself for the continuation of... THE BLACKWYRM CHRONICLES Yours truly, -H (Special Note: This cover was drawn by my friend Miranda Mayes. She decided to draw Journal 2's cover for free, so yeah, she deserves recognition. She did a stellar job!)
Become the Strongest Master With a Genius Student by VheenaD

Long ago, there was a legend about a powerful cultivator from the Fallen Rainbow Kingdom. The cultivator raised seven disciples whose mere name alone was capable of shaking all realms. However, many experts who researched hundreds of thousands of years of history suspected the story to be a fabrication as no evidence of the person or his legacy was found. "Nonsense! How dare they say master story is just a legend!!!" "There's no way I'm going to accept what they're saying! If it wasn't for the fact that this planet is where the sect and master used to live, I would have destroyed them!" There was a shout in a simple food stall from a girl with no satisfaction. But strangely the scream did not disturb the other guests, as if the scream had not been heard by them. "S-students calm down, it's been too long anyway. With the short lifespan of humans, they must have just assumed it was a legend. Master is not offended." Replied a young girl who was sitting with the screaming girl. "No master! I can't just take their word for it! They have to know the true story master!"The girl continued in an angry tone and continued her endless rant. _______ Well, this story is about an ordinary man who became a woman (lost his balls) when he was transferred to the world of Xianxia. Because of his stupidity, he tricked people into becoming his apprentice just to make his life easier, but regretted it because he was afraid of being found out about his lie (because he was an ordinary man? who pretended to be a cultivator). Occasional weird wording and grammar, English isn't my first language. The book cover is from AI.

What would you do if you were suddenly thrown powers befitting a God more than any mortal? Would you use them to better yourself, your community and society? Or would you wreak havoc upon our world? Or would you instead look far beyond our reality and breakthrough the construction for something brand new? A new world, all to yourself that too. That's what happened, and it was in the drizzle whilst feeding the pest that had wrecked havoc upon his humble backyard shack that he found a mystery larger than anyone can comprehend, an artifact immune to the irreversible corrosion of time, quite ironic that an unbreakable artifact fell upon his hands by accident, a man two steps away from death itself. Miguel didn't know at that time about how much of an effect the scroll would have upon his life, but whatever happens; he's now sure it'll be a merry one, either in this world, or the other one. Meanwhile in the world he had created, soft, peaceful and lush forests cover most areas of the continent with a very sparse population density, however Reggasia is anything but peaceful; and sparse. Reggasia is almost like another country to the rest of the people in the old kingdom, because it is; despite being the new capital district of culture it is now bleeding like a stuck pig, it's people starving and the wars the noblesse classes are waging aren't making anything better. As such, a greed driven young rogue takes things into his own hands and goes onto a journey that will take him across the entire district when his country and people are in danger, but will he be able to stop the conspiring nobles from taking over the entire continent? Or will his heart be pierced by the very same blade he gave unto this world seventeen hundred years ago? [#7 World Building.]
The Wolf Witch by cheeseisjar

Sora has no place in the world. She is meant to be a strong warrior, with the ability to shift into a wolf. She is none of those things, and looked down upon because of it. It brings shame to her, it brings shame to her family, and worst of all, it brings shame upon her prideful and strong brother. There is but one person who truly knows and loves her, but does he really? Magic is not the weapon of a warrior, magic is the weapon of a coward. Sora has been told that all her life, but she has magic within her, recently awakened, and so she has begun to doubt it. Still, witchcraft is punishable by death, and so Sora must be careful with her practices, lest she lose all she has. Sora is a better witch than wolf, though not by much, but she still pursues that craft in spite of the dangers. Her place in the world is a dangerous one, but will it last? The world she lives in is a dangerous one, and such a life as hers rarely ends happily. Disclaimer: this is a short prequel, Sora's story does not conclude with this one. If you finish this book and go "oh, that's the end?" it's because it's not the end. I'm writing a trilogy called Mortance that explores the larger world that this takes place in and concludes Sora's story more thoroughly than in this book. Go read that next if you like my writing, thanks. Please leave any and all criticisms you might have, anything you like and anything you dislike, I want to make this as good as I can. P.S. the cover is literally just a drawing I made in physics class, I know it's bad, I'm not an artist.
