After the battle of Edington, Uhtred and Y/n begin their travels north, where they are put to the test by the gods. Torture, pain, friendship and loyalty are all put to the test as the twins want nothing more than to fulfil their blood feud against Kjartan. But never would she had dreamt of falling for Kjartans bastard son. Sihtric is loyal, tender and loving. It baffles and frustrates Y/n for she cannot figure out how he can be related to that turd of a man.
