In the early 22th century human civilization and the nations of the earth were torn apart by the horrors of the third world war an event that ended when nuclear weapons were dropped on the north and south poles of the earth opening two great bore holes under the ice sheets unleashing a massive under ground ocean on to the earth ending the war, along with most human life and mammals. 12,000 years later the earth is now populated by former marine sea wild life that came to call themselves Inklings, Octalings, and other former sea creatures. While humanity has been dead for centuries, their was a survivor who was meant to be at Alterna, but was not and survived the Great Flood alone. A young man who has been asleep for 12,000 years and will soon awaken to a new world as the last human man on earth.
