Lexa and Clarke, were childhood best friends, who fell in love. Their lives are changed forever, when Lexa's mother dies in a suspicious car accident and Lexa's estranged father, takes Lexa and her sisters to California, where the sisters are promptly sent to a militant, boarding school, in Germany.

After no contact with Lexa for 11 years, Clarke believes she is over her. When Lexa suddenly comes home, along with her sisters, Clarke is left questioning everything.
