Imagine you go to see your favorite band in concert, and they invite you backstage to meet them after the show. Isn't that every girl's dream? It certainly was Rosie Duckworth's.
On June 1, 2014, eighteen-year-old Rosie went to Madison Square Garden to see her favorite boy band, Lights Out, in concert for the first time. Her best friend Gina Shalhoub didn't go with her--they'd had a fight the night before.
Rosie never came back.
At first, Gina thinks Rosie just isn't speaking to her. But they've best friends since kindergarten, and they've never gone more than 24 hours without speaking, even after an argument. Everyone says Rosie probably just ran away--she's already graduated from high school, and she never had the best relationship with her alcoholic dad anyway. But Gina is convinced something happened to Rosie at the concert that night. And she has reason to believe that the band Lights Out had something to do with it.
~
Lights Out is the story of two young women with an unbreakable bond. Forged over the years in the fires of adolescence, bullying, and obsessive fangirling, Rosie and Gina's friendship is ready to blossom into something more. But first, Gina is going to have to rescue Rosie from the very people whom she idolized for years. Can they overcome the passions of their youth and discover their passion for each other?
