Xer'Tal the Bloodthirsty had spent years as a warrior and now works as personal guard. With a world at war, his skills are in high demand however being an orc meant he was jaded to the world. People treated him poorly, gave him no trust, and he didn't trust a single person, even those who paid him.
So he wasn't expecting someone like Tansy Wilde.
Tansy Wilde was sent out from her family's lumberyard to head to the Kelpfar mountains to negotiate with the kobolds for a trade agreement when a bandit waylaid her plans. She escaped and fled to the nearest town where she asked after someone she could hire to protect her and she was sent straight to Xer'tal. Tansy knew orcs, she saw them occasionally at the lumberyard but there was something about this orc that has her breath catching in her chest. She paid him coin and asked him if he could escort her to Kelpfar and then back to her family's lumberyard.
The coin was more than good so he agreed.
The two start off but the stoic and cynical Xer'tal has no clue what to do with the bubbly and sweet Tansy as they make their way into the wilds. He finds the lines between job and employer he has always held firm waver under the sunshine of one singular, talkative woman as, for the first time in a long time, he is treated like a person that matters and not just as an orc. And Tansy finds her heart opening up more and more as the orc lets her truly be herself for the first time in years.
Worlds and cultures collide as these two grow closer and only time will tell if love will bloom as they traverse the wilds between them.

A war plagues the livable north of Mokosh. Both dwarven and human lives lost. Trying to keep the peace a prince and his bastard friend make their way into the arms of yet another enemy. Yet the terrors of the world are not done plaguing them as they are thrust into a journey they have no business being a part of. Yet somehow a bastard, a ward, and two princes find the world's fate resting directly on their shoulders. Author's note: I know I know, I put an Author's note in here already saying I was going to try to maintain one chapter a month. But unfortunately, the fascism is getting to me, and I (very unfortunately) am under govt. contract, so it is taking me a while to get through these, while editing plus proof reading, and doing literally everything else. Togran Ka fears the humans having had time to recover from the war, will return with a vengeance. Lucy and Rollo siblings abandoned by their parents, make their living selling items they have scavenged and repaired to any surviving settlements. Rollo and Lucy opposite sides of the same coin, Rollo a cheerful boy with the glow of innocence still around him and Lucy an overprotective cynical woman, who fears the moment her brother will lose his kind heart to the demands of the world. The Mother a creature bound within the center of the earth, feels the chains gripping her beneath the earth's crust weakening. Eager to cleanse the world of all its creatures, she sends forth her imps to clear the path for her return.Complete

Another Stupid Spell is a first person high fantasy novel, the likes of which hasn't been seen in 60 years. The tone and vocabulary of the story shifts as our narrator, Sorch the orc, finds ways to enhance his intelligence. You get to grow as Sorch grows, learn as he learns, and share his most intimate thoughts. Sorch is an orc mage in a world where orcs are cursed with stupidity every time they cast a spell. The only spell he can safely cast is Enhance Intelligence, which boosts his IQ for a fraction of a second before the curse drains it all away again. Normally casting such a spell would be pointless, but Sorch's tribe has found a way to benefit. Magic that is cast near a mysterious artefact called the 'Voodoo Engine' causes invisible hands to appear, and these hands get work done for his tribe. Sorch is a slave to the Voodoo Engine, casting a single spell over and over again to avoid being beaten by the chief's warrior caste. While foraging for food on one fateful night, our hero happens upon two human mages who are in big trouble. He saves their lives, and in return they give him an amulet that will make his life easier.
