The death of his wife and unborn children affected Anakin badly, or rather, Vader. The Sith Lord has a new perspective on things as the dark side rules his mind, he has become a monster, a silhouette of the man he once was, only sharing the same body and memories. His vision is constantly blurred by blind rage, his life having no meaning, being a slave for The Emporer, and being self-aware. He knows what he is, and he knows what he's done.
His life is rather pathetic actually, how far he'll go for anyone that shows him a little bit of kindness and affection.
What would he ruin, kill, massacre, or destroy without batting an eye just to possibly see his wife back? To see his children?
I don't think anyone wants to know how far he'd go.

Padmè resides on Tatooine, swallowed with grief for her husband. But her children are a shining light in her life. She raises them alone in the middle of the sand dunes, only going out to run errands and to see friends.
What if the weapon of the Empire that took everything from her appears, and it goes to Tatooine?
What if she knew the weapon? What if her past was filled with memories of the monster, mainly happy ones?
Or; Darth Vader is sad and finds Padmè on Tatooine one day.

I could not have predicted that it was exactly this, the shell I lived inside, that would one day cause Darth Vader to pull me into his world, one of deceit, violence, and...love? Even Anakin couldn't have known that he would remove the scales off of my shell, little by little, until I was standing before the Empire with nothing to hide behind. But as I stood in the light, it is the appearance of my own shadow that was least expected. It turns out, the closer one gets to the spotlight, the bigger their shadow. --- Anakin There was a time when I believed in the Jedi. For a while, I believed in the Sith, too. If a woman brought down my faith in one, I suppose it is only right a woman would bring down the other, too. But, I'm better this time. Older. Experienced. Knowledgeable. I wouldn't give up everything for a woman again, right? Wrong. You see, with Padmé, I feared the danger she put herself in. I rarely encouraged her to fight harder, encouraged her use her talents and charisma. Sometimes I even disagreed with her ideals. And it is that mistake, among many, that I will not be making again. If Kitten wants to show her claws, her targets need only look behind her to see my shining eyes preparing to clean up the mess. It might be fun, were it not for the sheer size of her messes. TW/ CW: this is still a bit dark, though not on the same level as Vader's Fortress. He's still a shadow daddy, don't worry! Ahsoka Tano; Mightiest Force Wielder (Book 1: The Rise)
The dark side crafted a plan, and the plan requires Ahsoka to become a mighty force wielder, one of the mightiest actually. After the fight with Darth Vader, Ahsoka is locked in the temple of Malachor. The dark side is calling for her. Mercylessly calling for her and luring her to subdue to it and become a Sith. Will she fall to the dark side? A former padawan however is as much wanted by the empire as the Jedi and likewise hunted as much. Anyone with her will get under fire. The Jedi codex does not allow for attachments, a Sith by nature does not have attachments, yet, she loves a man, but their love is under a dark star. Used, rather abused, by the dark side for its own plan. Guided by the force, she finds Yoda on Dagobah. Seeing her yellow eyes and her new red magic saber he greets her: "Grown up you have, no youngling anymore. Strong you have become, powerful, forceful - and dangerous. Lady you are. And Sith you are. Dangerous Sith Master." The empire wants her, Sidious wants to make her die in agony and Vader wants to make her submit or finish her with his saber. One day Ahsoka comes to the understanding, that she cannot hide and run away forever. She has to call out Darth Vader to settle things between them once and for all. They have to fight for life or death - death or glory. Darth Vader will survive their duel, as we all know, but what happens to Ahsoka?Complete

Anakin Skywalker will not become Darth Vader. Not yet, anyway. Padmé saved him from a lifetime of regret by pulling him out of the fateful battle between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine. But at some point, he still has to decide if his heart lies with the Jedi or the Sith. Palpatine, undeterred by the loss of his potential apprentice, still devises a way to create the Empire and wipe out the vast majority of the Jedi. He sends various threats directly to Anakin and Padmé to convince them that they and their newborn children are in danger. Fearing for their safety, they split. For years, Anakin and Leia wander throughout the galaxy, dodging the Empire and searching for a greater purpose. Meanwhile, Padmé raises Luke while working with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to lead the fight against the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin is constantly tempted by the Dark Side. Padmé struggles to help the Rebels succeed. Their children mean everything to both of them. The story also features other characters we all know and love, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. Most of the story takes place 7 years after Revenge of the Sith. Please note that I would never change the canon; this story is intended to explore what could have happened, not what should have happened. OCs are used very sparingly. Thanks for reading!
