Iris is just a normal teenage girl. Sadly, her fate ruined her whole life. Due to her sickness, her parents sent her to fosters home. One little action, changed her whole life. She was betrayed and lonely. Soon, a young couple adopted her. But it was too late, she was in pain already and nothing could change it. Until she met him. He was her hero. He was her only light and hope. He was Angelo Knights. NOTE: This story is very short. Trust me, it is very very super short. It will only last for 3 chapters as I used this story to participate in the Scholastic Asian Young Writer's 2015.

The boy she grew up with, the one she called home, not only abandoned her but made sure she felt every ounce of his betrayal. With no family to turn to and grief consuming her, she saw only one escape. No reason to keep breathing. That night, silence stretched too long. Her best friend, Ivan, knew something was wrong. He had loved her from the moment they met, but nothing could have prepared him for what he found. Blood. A fading pulse. A girl who had given up. But was he too late? As he picks up the broken pieces of the girl he's always wanted, she begins to heal. Slowly, she starts to feel again. But is it love-or just the desperate need to hold on to the only one who stayed? A story of heartbreak, healing, and the fine line between love and loneliness.
