After the Nekton Family discovered, that Kaiko is the Chosen One to activate the ephemychron and to guide them all to the long lost city Lemuria, an old "friend" of hers shows up and changes their knowledge about the ancient history. When they find the city of their ancestors, everything escalates to a point we're only one of them can survive.
