With her witchy and tech-savvy sidekick Darby, nothing will keep her from investigating a good haunting. But the ghosts these days? They just don't haunt like they used to, and finding decent material for her website is getting harder and harder.

When her uncle contacts her with a haunt of his own, Kayde agrees to help. His paranormal museum, Tales Untold, is being overtaken by a vicious, powerful spirit deemed the Shadow. People are getting injured (and possessed), leaving him no choice but to shut the place down. His collection of haunted relics is all he has.

Kayde accepts the task to investigate and remove the Shadow, but soon regrets her decision. The Shadow is neither human nor a ghost. He is something far, far worse, and he'd like to do more than just scare her off the job...

With his sinister charm and cunning nature, he plans to conquer the human realm one human at a time.
