She went along willingly, knowing that she had no other family to take her in. Throughout the years at Wammy's House, Subaru befriends two boys who look like reflections of eachother. L Lawliet, and Beyond Birthday; commonly known as L and B (BB). What does fate have in store for this odd trio?

Habiki Komori has lived most of his life in his own little bubble, trying to protect himself as much as possible from all the hardships he faced in life. He was adopted into a family that didn't love him and was surrounded by people who constantly made his life miserable. And which is the role of Nate River in all of this? This tale, in which several characters are OCs (starting with the protagonist), is an alternative to the canonical investigation of the first seven volumes of the manga, exploring in part an imaginary past of the students of Wammy's House, L's family and origins, and an alternative concept of justice to that of the two famous protagonists. The enemy to be faced is not Kira alone; the successful outcome of the investigation will therefore depend on L and K's ability to come to terms with their past.
