"You are the one person who has made me feel like I can be unapologetically me!" She cried, pulling the woman into a hug.
The boy looked away, feeling ashamed. "I was always told that I couldn't do anything right." He gazed at the woman, and a bright grin split his face even though tears slid down his cheeks. "You're the one person who has taught me that I can try and fail without consequence!"

Rose Winifred was never allowed to be herself. In her family, you were only the obedient child. If you stepped even a toe out of line, there were always extreme consequences that followed. When she got out of her parents' house, she made it her mission to ensure no other child would be made to feel like she did ever again.
