A year after the events of "Rise of the Murderer", life has returned to what it was supposed to be. No one remembers or even knows about the existence of Rusty, except for Riley who has been able to move on. Peace isn't always able to remain, as mysterious portals open up all over the island and taking parts of it away. 

After an unexpected and not wanted encounter with Rusty again, Riley knows that they must be stopped, or there will be nothing left of the island. Unlike last time, he has his friends by his side to travel with him to the new and unknown, where they encounter alternate versions of themselves, and new threats. Will the eight friends be able to navigate the multiverse, avoid the threats and save their world, or will their home be lost forever?
