In dire need of money, Akin decides to put himself up to be a lab rat for an experiment. Oblivious to what the trial was all about, something unexpected cropped up.

His soul leaves his body.

Now trapped in-between life and death in the land of the middling, he must do everything to get back to his body before he transits totally to the land of the dead.

With the help of his spirit animal, a quirky monkey, he must navigate the land of the middling to find his way back to his body.
