Mary Daly is a 17 year old American private school student from the year 2020, studying the history of the noble English family of the Phantomhives, and it's many mysteries. However one day, she suddenly wakes up in the Phantomhive Manor itself, having been sent back to 1889.
When she becomes one of the few servants at the manor, she ends up seeing things that were never documented in the history books, and ends up living through history itself, while also learning a lot about her new friends and even herself in the process.
During all of this she is joined by the young Earl himself, Ciel Phantomhive, and his mysterious butler dressed in black, Sebastian Michaelis. The three together start off the first chapter of this series of events, called The Demonic Chronicles.
