It has been one year since the fateful day that Gon and Killua parted ways beneath the towering World Tree. Though they flashed smiles as they said goodbye, deep regrets lingered in their hearts. 

Gon remains consumed by guilt over the disastrous events in NGL. Killua lives in fear that one day he may abandon Gon to his doom, as Bisky predicted.

Now, drawn together by invisible strings of fate, the core four friends have reunited alongside Alluka and Kalluto. Much remains unsaid between them after their time apart.
