Sequel to A New Mission: Ash to Fire
(Spoilers to the first story in summary!)
Many years after peace has been reached on Pandora, former RDA recombinants Miles Quaritch, Lyle Wainfleet, and Devin Mansk have created fulfilling lives for themselves among the Ash Na'vi. Miles leads the people as Olo'eyktan with the love and support of his fierce Ash Na'vi mate, Zukriyä. On their paradise volcanic archipelago, the three recoms contend with a great new mission: raising their families. However, such may prove to be the most difficult mission they've ever had, as the actions and decisions of their adolescent children will force their parents to contend with the dangers of Pandora, their relationships with their kids, and rivalries thought to be buried long ago.
If A New Mission: Ash to Fire was like Quaritch's Avatar, this story is a lot more akin to his Way of Water where he contends with family.

Miles Quaritch failed his first mission to kill Jake Sully. Now, Bridgehead Command has a new mission for him and his surviving recoms, Wainfleet and Mansk. A mission to gather intel and make an alliance with the newly contacted Ash People, a Na'vi clan endemic to a volcanic archipelago. What's at first just orders will slowly come to change the young Colonel's life and his relationship with Pandora, his son, his enemies, and the RDA forever. Part 1 in the Avatar, A New Mission series. This large, slow-build story is essentially an Avatar 3 (with heat and flare!) through Miles Quaritch's eyes after the events of the Way of Water and continuing his parallels with Jake Sully. The story really expands to a movie-sized scope as it goes on. Features Miles' existential crisis and also flashbacks to when Spider was with the 1st Recom Unit. Recoms Lyle Wainfleet and Mansk are also greatly developed. Did my best to be logical and reasonable with the in-movies set canon, and sequel foreshadowing. There are a *few* instances of eventual smut, but there are content warnings and it is kindly written to be skippable if that's not your thing! : )Complete

The arrival of the Sully family on the shore of Awa'atlu brought a significant change to the Metkayina Clan. The oldest daughter of the Olo'eyktan and second in command, Etleyä, wasn't quite content with her father's decision to make her and her siblings teach the newcomers their ways. No one was aware of what their stay there would bring. How could they have possibly known the dangers that followed the Omatikaya family? And more importantly, how could Etleyä have known the way the oldest son of the mighty Toruk Makto would wreck her entire world? Not every soldier is meant to survive the battle. And Etleyä couldn't resist the tides of the forest.
Wings of Two Worlds
