Lady Dawn expected to die.

After casting her soul to the wind, taking a one-in-a-million chance to escape the wretched dungeons of Taegrin Caelum, the once-caged songbird of the Asclepius wishes nothing more than to find her Hearth and warn them of the coming danger. Instead, she's found herself a shade, anchored to a young man who knows far too much-and with far less hope than she'd started with.

Toren Daen, for his part, only wanted to make it home safely. Now he's in a world taken straight from the page, questioning what is real and what is fiction, and scrambling to make something worthwhile. And with his foresight, there's only one way that Toren can see to keep this new world safe: prevent the descent of the Legacy. But those in power will not make it easy: Nico Sever is in a league of power all on his own, and Arthur Leywin bears the burden of Fate a continent away. In this familiar-yet-not world of mana, monsters, and looming deities, any misstep along the roads of Alacrya and the High Sovereign's Dominion could lead to a Fate worse than death.

But what is death to a phoenix? With a burning secret in his mana core, knowledge of the future, and a maelstrom of fears and questions, Toren might just survive to be more than what Lady Dawn expected him to be. He might just survive to waylay the encroaching tide of death in the proxy war between raging asura clans.

More than all of that, he might just live.

(Semi-SI into Alacrya, character-focused story. Part 1 Complete.)

Modern Romantasy | Slow Burn You stood alone. Then, I swore to be your shield. "Don't chase storms," you told me. But what else could I do, when you - Aisling Gale - walked into the open auditions for the High Spire Renaissance Faire with nothing but your cards, your defiance, and a spark that threatened to split my silence wide open? I am Tristan Carver, trusted marshal of the guild: Steady as an oak, sworn to keep order, and trained to fight on every battlefield but yours. "I can speak for myself," you told the guildmaster - but I ached to be your champion. Together, we're pulled into a faire season of high adventure and slow-burn romance - where laughter breaks betrayal, rivals test every bond, and even the fiercest masks can't hide an undone heart. Aisling, I'll stand with you through it all... when you've only ever stood alone. AUTHOR'S NOTES: * Expect new chapters every Tuesday and Friday, with 6 of 9 arcs drafted: • High Adventure - COMPLETE • High Seas - Finale out December 16, 2025! • High Romance • High Court • High Treason • High Masque * This modern romantasy-lite tale of courtship and chivalry will be rated "Mature" at High Masque, but not before then. -- Expect an excruciatingly, agonizingly slowburn romance, with protagonists who are actively trying *not* to believe what they're seeing (due to very understandable reasons). * This story also features fully adult and mature main characters in their late twenties and early thirties. They've loved and hurt before, and carry scars that keep them from jumping as fast as a first-love romance might. * I'm sure I've gotten details of Renaissance festivals and performances wrong. This story started as a fun side project for me, so my research is minimal. No disrespect intended to those incredible performers, and the faire itself is completely made up!

Threads of Fate von LeeraIvy
84 Kapitel Abgeschlossene Geschichte Erwachseneninhalt
The path fate lays before us is often many years in the making, and the tale of the Phoenix and the God-spawn is no different. Nearly 3,000 years before the war that would bring about Astaroth's defeat, another battle was waged to ensure there would be a future to fight for. Duty has been thrust upon Prince Azael Cadhael for centuries, first by filling the role of an uncrowned King, but his true story begins as all royal stories do: with a ball, a secret, and a peculiar dream. When Azael overhears the whispered plans of his betrothed and her twin brother to leave with the Phoenix on a goddess-given quest, he must surrender to a new type of duty entirely. Navigating his ever increasingly strained relationship with Tissaia Lochren while striving to save the future of his kingdom isn't a job easily done, and her closeness with the Phoenix, Kaius, certainly doesn't make it any easier. Tissaia has spent years in the shadows of her own failure and her father's wrath. Kaius's quest offers her and her brother Talarion a chance to claim their freedom at long last, but fighting ones' past can be just as deadly as fighting an armed foe, especially if that past isn't keen on backing down. If they're going to succeed, all four of them must learn to recognize the power in truth and bared secrets, as well as the strength in kinship. If they fail, it could mean the doom of all Asterria for an age. But if they succeed, perhaps fate will be kinder than they have been led to believe. Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real and mature elements. There will be chapters dealing with abuse, gore, PTSD, torture, sexual content, and other topics. Please be aware if you are sensitive to such content. {The Phoenix Duology} "From the Ashes, I" "Born of Flames, II" {Additional Asterrian Saga Books} "Threads of Fate", prequel "Two Cursed Souls", sequel Completed February 9, 2025 *UNSOLICITED CRITICS MAY BE MUTED* see bio
Demiurgic Requiem: Rise of the Veylmar Synod von Khaos_Requiem
5 Kapitel Laufend Erwachseneninhalt
Loneliness shatters. Isolation binds. Trauma transforms. In a world splintered by chaos and rotting from within, the broken are forged into weapons. The Veylmar Synod-an elite order of forgotten Conduits-stands between order and oblivion. They were created to fight the corruption that consumes the world. But the corruption lives inside them. Alaric Kazimir was born unwanted-a child of tragedy, cursed with a power he never asked for. Only his twin sister, Lilith cared for him. When rage and grief tore through him at ten years old, his power destroyed his tormentors, but destroyed the only one he loved. Instead of death or a lonely existence, he was offered a chance: to turn his pain into the strength necessary to prevent such tragedies. Years later, Alaric fights beside others whose gifts mirror their scars: -Kiara Hadeon, a girl whose flames consumed everything she loved. -Azrael Djall, a warrior who steals souls to silence his grief. -Sabrina Archeron, a haunted soul, lost to her waking nightmares. -Kaiser Amaran, a man cursed to bring ruin to those around him. Bound by trauma and burdened by power, they are the Multiverse's last defense-and its greatest threat. Each seeks redemption. Each hides a truth. And when a forbidden power resurfaces, the Synod will be forced to decide whether they are saviors... or executioners. Because some worlds aren't meant to be saved. They're meant to be rewritten. --------------- ⚠️ Content Advisory ⚠️ Psychological violence, emotional trauma, moral corruption, blood and gore, mental illness, complex relationships, and existential despair. This is not a story of heroes. This is a requiem for the broken. ** Book 1 of the Demiurgic Requiem Trilogy. The cover image is not mine. Estelle Beaumont just wanted a peaceful hike on her last day of vacation. Instead, one ill-starred moment of curiosity leaves her miraculously stranded in the fictional world of Prythian--a faerie realm full of ruthless court drama, rampant misogyny, and enough deadly magic to keep anyone up at night. Armed with foreknowledge that's only helpful when it isn't actively trying to get her killed, Estelle quickly discovers that living through the story of ACOTAR is far less fun and far more perilous when it's her own basic-ass, untrained mortal life on the line. Her plan is simple: keep her hands off of the plot and survive long enough to find a way back to the family and love she left behind. But the so-called "Mother" clearly has other plans for Estelle, forcing her to confront an unsettling truth--that her role here in Prythian might be far greater than that of a passive observer. As Estelle reluctantly abandons her original plan, uneasy alliances form, old wounds reopen, and fractured trust begins to mend. Love, loss, and scars of the past converge as Estelle slowly starts to see that the family she thought she'd lost might take a new shape, and that the life she left behind might be the only reason she's prepared for the fight ahead. But the cost of shaping Prythian's future--and her own--might be greater than she can bear. After all, it's a future that was never meant to be hers to begin with. And this is all that damned Cauldron's fault... ☆⊱──────⊰ ☽✧☾ ⊱──────⊰☆ A/N: Warning: This fanfiction is purely self-indulgent, with long-winded introspection and a major, major slowburn romance. Read at your own risk lol. Also if you don't like self-insert/iseki like tropes were an original character who read the books ends up in the fictional world as the new main character, you might want to skip this. Somethings will stay very familiar, others will diverge completely, and I plan to add extra world building along the way.

Toren Daen entered the Central Cathedral feeling hope, ready to challenge the High Vicar and prove his soul. He left it broken, his wings sundered and torn. But Toren has a spark; an ember of fire left in his heart that the people around him strive to rekindle. And if Fate is kind, he may just rise from this defeat like the ghostly phoenix bound to his soul. Toren knows he can help the world he has found himself in. Now, the only task is to flap the butterfly's wings-because Toren hopes to change the outcome of the Dicathian war. But it will not be so simple. The Scythes loom about him like the blades of executioners, always watching and waiting. The twisted politics of Alacrya have sunk their claws deep into Toren's soul, and though he may set foot on another continent with the hopes of giving the Dicathians a chance, those he cares for will always chain his heart. Arthur Leywin, twin Anchor for the Legacy, will not bend to the change Toren heralds so easily. Seris Vritra has plans of her own for Toren as they enter the war in Darv, and there is no telling if his desires fit anywhere within her schemes. The Hearth looms as a beacon of hope: if Toren lives long enough to make it there. And behind it all, two gods play a game of chess: and they both have a question on their minds as the war of lessers reaches a crescendo. How many times can a phoenix die before it will no longer rise from the ashes? Twice, the Dawn rose over Dicathen. Twice it crested the horizon, bathing the world in light. Twice it fell in turn. Devastating losses haunt the Sons of Dawn as they navigate an unfamiliar land filled with impossible danger, the looming threat of a tyrant asura king waiting like a guillotine over their Hearth. If they have the strength of arm, they might rescue their flock, bringing a force never before seen to the aid of those in need. In Dicathen, the Once and Future King treads the line between dark and light, holding the forces of worldly destruction at bay with subtle diplomacy and the strength of his sword. And back home in Alacrya, where all is war? A hidden knife of a woman, gleaming moonlit white, prepares to drive deep into the gut of those who took so much from her people. Fate has taken everything it could, a dirge of despair for those who lie beneath its boots. Yet this concert of causality is not the only one to play through the world: when the discord grows too great, when rebellion ferments in the hearts of men, can those who deny the world as it is escape their shackles? It's time to see the Symphony shattered. (Part 3/3 of Discordant Note) (Part 1: Discordant Note | TBATE) (Part 2: Discordant Note: Crescendo | TBATE) (Updates Tuesday/Saturday)
