Grief follows death. The dead follow the grieving... Sisters Darcy and Nicolette lose the one person in their life they never thought they'd be without: their older sister, Pam. Slowly drowning in her grief, Nic moves into Darcy's Philly apartment hoping for a new start. But, nothing about this place is "new." Liberty Girls School, 1852, is now converted into cheap apartments. The water pressure is a joke, and the neighbors are even worse. But, most chillingly, Darcy swears she can hear people outside her door every night. Nic is skeptical, and too distracted by the loss of Pamela to pay much mind to Darcy's fantasies. Until she starts having encounters of her own... Like the title says, this is not a ghost story. But, that doesn't mean they aren't lingering about the apartment building, attaching themselves to the tenants, and reliving the horrors of their time on earth.
