What does a soldier dream of more than a life of peace?
It has been five years since the fall of Calamity Ganon. As Hyrule slowly heals from the wounds of its past, Link and Zelda work tirelessly to rebuild the kingdom they had once known. Even with the old threat gone, the knight struggles to adjust to the peace, unsure what his life may be beyond his duty.
The peace is shattered though, when traces of an enemy long believed gone begin to arise. The princess and her hero investigate, they soon find themselves torn apart, and thrust into a new world of danger. Will they be able to preserve the victory their friends had given their lives for? And will Link be able to face his greatest fear of all?
The Lonely Hero is the sequel to The Lonely Knight, a novelization of BOTW. This book follows the same characters as that book, in this rewritten version of TOTK.

A lot of work needs to be done to rebuild Hyrule, and to convince others to help will take a lot of work from Link and Zelda. Having all his memories back, Link is plagued with thoughts and memories of the Champions, wishing he could go back in time and save them. He can't focus on the past too much though, because an incredible threat has woken up, and will certainly destroy Hyrule if nothing is done soon.
