To the stars

Karl and James had known each other since they were each five years of age, they have been best friends since then and they have never left each other's side. Now, at the age of forty one, as they sit on James's porch drinking coffee, they sight something very odd in the distance, a meteorite hits earth with a hard thump, and they can't help but want to go investigate what that is all about.
