The Broken Jaguar

Sparrow Destry is broken. Sparrow is a Jaguar shifter, healer and at seventeen she is already a respected member of her pride. Sparrow's mother is a healer and her father is third-in-command of their pride. Sparrow's older brother, Michael, is in training and will take over her father's position someday. Sparrow's twin sister, Arik, doesn't know what she is going to do; but that's always been Arik's thing. Sparrow's whole life is planned out for her, but she didn't plan it. Sparrow knows that something is missing, she just isn't sure what until he walks into the pride bar and is taken into custody battered and bruised. The Alpha asks Sparrow to help because, unlike other healers, Sparrow can fight. The last thing Sparrow expects to find in a dark pride cell is the thing that she's been missing most.

Luca Bane is next in line to be Alpha of his pack. He has always done everything his father told him to. Except, possibly, one of the most important things. Luca had been scouting the woods for his father, checking out their new pack land when came upon the sweetest scent he had ever smelled. He followed the scent only to see one of his pack using one of their neighboring cats as a chew-toy. But this wasn't just any cat, this was a little girl, no more than five and she was the most precious thing Luca had ever seen. He had killed the other wolf and tended to the girl's wounds. He didn't know her name but she had hair like the sun and smelled like fresh strawberries. He helped her heal and brought her back to her house. He was on his way back home when his father caught him. The Alpha told him to go back and kill her but he couldn't and it's been his secret ever since then. Luca has watched over that little girl since that night but one stupid mistake is about to change everything and bring him closer to her than he thought possible. But will Sparrow accept what Luca has to offer or will she go along with the plan that's been laid out for her?
