Welcome to the known world of The Nine Oceans! Watch out for pirates, prophecies, bandits and politics. Please, don't concern yourself with what lives under the D'Vialle manor. And always, always remember to keep your actions out of the workings or you'll find yourself on the wrong side of The Ladies. Better to keep safe and above the wet instead of swimming seven draughts down, don't you think?
This massive story is told from multiple viewpoints and is one part swashbuckling, one part steampunk, and one part all smashed together of romance, adventure, sci-fi / fantasy, and revenge. Updates will be inconsistent because I'm still writing the final half (possibly the final two thirds) as well as polishing and settling finished chapters into the right places in the timeline.
Content warning: I'll put CW's at the start of each chapter, as needed, and in general you can expect foul language, violence, sex, trauma and fear.

Hi, A few years back I began my blogger's journey. Now it's time when I archive them all here and share with you all. But before that let me do the little formality and introduce you the blogger, the writer, the artist behind this all. Hey I'm Ocean, a dreamy girl, who has completed her college studies of fashion designing from a few years back and then stepped into the writing world. Though writing was already a big part of me since my school days, but now it has become a professional practice too. Other than writing and designing, I pretty much like photography and travelling. And the things which I love to do in my free time is dancing, listening to music - hindi classicals, qawwali, ghazal, indie-pop or fusions are my favourite, other than that watching movies/series - Classics, Rom-Com, Action, Thrill, Sci-Fi - ALL! and studying film-making. Even scholars, who've lived for little else but maps, parchment, and pages Soaked with ink, turn to the world for more than knowledge, or satins, silks, or spices. Lured by a tune like a fish to a hook, hungry for a dream. But what if that dream comes at a cost more hefty than coin? What if the price cuts as deep as the song, And soaks your hands redder than the ledger you're desperate to fill. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since the first siren sighting, people have told tales of their dangers, warning Sailors to be wary of their bewitching songs, lest they lead them early to a dark Watery grave. Only a fool would leave his ears open to a Sirens song, or so many have been told, until Whispers of magic stranger and more enticing came, rumors of miracles and medicine made possible if you were brave enough to face the seas to claim a Sirens scales. Since the rising tide of such tales, the seas became far quieter, as rich choruses of song were sharply silenced, and the ocean itself became even more vicious with fury at its children being hunted. Hunted by Scholars thirsty for forbidden wisdom. Hunted by merchants greedy for more bloodstained wealth. Many thousands of years in the future, humanity has long since inhabited a region of space simply known as the "Habitable Zone of the Milky Way," or simply the "Habitable Zone." Many advancements have been made, though many are irrelevant to the billions -- or perhaps more -- of souls scattered across space. Everything operates under the silent, vague, but present scrutiny of the gods, with thaumaturgic talents dominating many human cultures in some capacity. Churches reign over the post-Altarum territories many years after the Silence. The World, at least as far as many within the Habitable Zone are concerned, is a cold, thoughtless plane of existence. It is within a single vessel, known as the CSS Groundskeeper, do things begin to influence the "Things To Be," as labeled by followers of the pantheon. Within this ship, two individuals will face the beginning of what is to be unimaginable horrors within an unforgiving universe, both with the same goal: do not succumb to the darkness.
