At the age of 26, Ayana makes a life-altering decision, leaving her dissatisfying job at Mercury Labs and disappearing from Central City for six years. During this time, she becomes involved with the League of Assassins, a secretive and deadly organization. Under the name Azhara, she undergoes intensive combat training, pushing her physical and mental limits and transforming her into a formidable force.
Ayana's homecoming brings her face-to-face with her past, including her ex-boyfriend Leonard, who has taken on the persona of the supervillain Captain Cold. Their reunion is marked by a mix of complicated emotions as they navigate their shared history and the changes they have undergone individually.
