----- "He told you to stay alive; it's time to live." Ziah lives her life in constant fear, fear of the Dames and their harsh punishments, fear of missing a check-in, and fear of losing anything else she has. After a devastating accident left her with a severe concussion and no sight, she is forced to rely on another to ensure her own safety. The only problem is that someone is replacing Artemis, challenging the one person she could trust. In the aftermath of a deadly storm, more than half the population has been destroyed. The authorities keep a close watch on and control the survivors, mandating check-ins for everything. Meals, sleep, travel, work, and even love. As rogues become more violent and the government loses patience, Ziah becomes part of an underground division aiming to free the people of Arca. As more, including her own sister, becomes endangered, she wonders if freedom is even worth the price. ----- This book is an unfinished title and the chapters published are edited before publication. Halo-Born

Dear Faith, I should have told you this years ago, but I never got the chance. Mom said it would be dangerous. Mom said you should be able to live normally. It's the only reason why he was forced to leave, but I have to tell you this. One day someone important will meet you after years of hiding and watching. You shouldn't be scared though; you know him. He'll teach you everything about yourself. He'll tell you why you're different. For now, I'll tell you that my dad isn't you dad. I'll tell you, that I'm not really your sister. I'll tell you that what you're going to become is going to put you in harm's way. I'm sorry I have to tell you so late in life. I'm sorry I have to tell you this at all, but you were born an angel. Your sister, Hope
