A group of scientists accidentally create a new disease that threatens a mass extinction event for humans, and only a small percentage of the population is genetically immune. As the rest of the population begins dying off, world leaders in this dystopian hellscape start gathering those who are infected in an attempt to isolate the virus. Those who are immune form The Society and go on the run in hopes to find a hiding place away from the rest of the world. Ghost, an immune, escapes from The Shelters and runs into Frostbite, an infected teenager. Ghost believes that his father, head researcher of the LeVon Institute, was close to finding a cure but is murdered before he does. L.O.V.E.
100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. The end of animals, most of nature, technology and everything that advanced in between. After Earth's destruction a new life began with the survivors of the near extinction of humanity. They constructed a singular civilization encased in a wall for protection from outside forces, built on the hope to reproduce and thrive with the life they were forced into. Zykard would be the start of a second life for humans But within that time of rebirth some of the survivors surged with horrors of Pre-Reearth. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes. Crimson, a seventeen year old girl faces the verge of adulthood. The final trials being the only gap between her new reality. A new injection to be given to everyone after the trials. She will face the ugly second face of what Zykard really is behind the curtains. Face pain she never thought would be possible and lose what she loves the most. How does a nerd with a major in graphic design survive, alone, in a zombie apocalypse for three months? Easy, Eren stays away from all people, dead and alive alike. His father taught him how dangerous a person can be, so he's avoided them since the beginning. Well, that is, until he stumbles upon a settlement. Will he decide to leave and continue relying only on himself or will he take a leap of faith and trust his comrades? The characters are owned by Hajime Isayama, but the plot is mine. This is a Ereri boyxboy so find a different book if you aren't into that. This is rated mature, because of language and sexual content. There is also other triggers. Just be careful and safe. A Country Life

Separated from her father, a young girl has to learn to survive in a foreign land haunted by tribes of ghosts and roving bands of piratical thralls to a sadistic King. A watcher keeps lonely vigil from within a fortress that has been under siege for hundreds of years, while a soldier dies for the twenty-third time, and dies again while wondering if he is going mad. First started in 2015, this story is at 50k+ words, but was removed when a plotting hiccup was encountered. I now intend to split it into three parts, and this is the complete Part 1.
