A retelling of the Little Mermaid in a steampunk world, the metamorphosis of Syrene, who changes herself to become a part of the human world. But the human world isn't as beautiful as she imagined it'd be.
Author's Note: This is a story I wrote for college and one of the only works I have that's completed. It's meant to be a short story with an ending that leaves you thinking what will happen next. I wrote this when I was pretty young. So it might not be at its best.
