Shame, anger, regret, hatred......

These are all the feelings Courtney Burke felt every time she though about her father and how much of a coward he is. Being a 6th generation pureblood Courtney always took pride in the fact that she came from affluent family that always seems put together. Although Courtney was just a baby when they left London, she still feels like that's her home. The summer before Courtneys 5th year at Ilvermony, her family gets a visitor who comes barring bad news. Courtney's father betrayed the Dark Lord and is the reason they are in America in the first place. Now the Dark Lord is back and wants revenge. Courtney's father, being the coward he, is offered up his own daughter to the Dark Lord, not caring about what could possibly happen to her. She thought for sure she would die but was offered choices after they saw her power. Die or get married.

Will she find true love, or will she have to betray the Dark Lord himself no matter the cost?
