Roommates is a soulmate au where your element presents itself on your 18th birthday and you can find your soulmate when you kiss them. Physical contact with anyone will allow you to feel their element. People have tried to settle down in unmatched pairs where the partners are not soulmates, but if your relationship doesn't split within one week of it becoming official, your element will start to fade until the relationship between the elements is blocked. The six elements and the Hwasin, the goddess of all elements and peace, created what is now called, Heavenly pairs. Heavenly pairs are a pair of two soulmates that have elements that match together, they are rare but they hold a connection that regular soulmates couldn't achieve.
