The General's gaze did not flee from mine as he struggled to maintain his courage under control. 

"Who are you... truly?" 

A grin slowly formed on my lips. 

"My name is Princess Anaphir of House Amethyst. I am the avatar of the patron goddess Izara... and I am no monster." 

With that, I let out the fire that had been building up inside of me for so long along with a scream. The fury and full might and power of Izara, goddess of amethyst fire, had been unleashed. 

And that was only the beginning.
