The world has declined into a post-apocalyptic setting, mutated zombie variants roam freely with no one to battle the question of how humanity could possibly thrive. . that is until a scientist decides to take it upon herself to hold the burden. If there's any hope at all, its her, but will she be able to do it? The virus spreads quick, mutates people into creatures of nightmares, barely recognizable to their former selfs. There's no hope for those infected already, but the future of humanity laid in the hands of only one scientist and her group. Making survivors immune, able to survive what once would infect them, that was the goal. That being said, safety is the primary worry. Who and what will she encounter along the way? Follow Adeline Winter on her journey to do the impossible all while she faces things that delay her progress in doing so, people and the living dead have other motives for her plan.

(Art by me. Took me a while to do this. So this is the new book cover :3) Humanity has always been curious creations that never learnt quickly from their mistakes.. Greedy... and prideful... we'd do anything to achieve our goals... even if it meant ending the world... Scientists had experimented on humans for a long time, making different breakthroughs and some failures... but this one was their most astonishing and regretful discovery.. with a mistake in their calculations as well as their subject. A virus was created and this virus was passed on to Everyone in the hospital lab quickly causing the first zombie infected appearance. At first it was mild... but like a wild fire, it spread round the city and nearly around the world... humanity was pushed back, homes destroyed....bond broken.... and many more problems came. But after all, humans can adapt quickly. And quick did they adapt... creating weapons that work for both infected and mercenaries alike, humanity had found a way to survive again. To Be A Hero
Book 4 in the To Be A Runner series. If you have not read books 1, 2 or 3, I seriously suggest you do before continuing in order to avoid confusion. An expectant mother, a shady government worker, an unexpected visitor, and the search for a cure. Yep, that sounds about right. It's been almost nine months since the world was saved from eternal happiness, but the world is still in danger. The dead still walk and we are still far from finding a cure. But we are still discovering new things. Veronica's hard at work, and with Abel teaming up with the Ministry nothing should be able to stop us. At least, that's what I thought. L.O.V.E.
100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. The zombie apocalypse has arrived, the virus has been dubbed as AM13, and the human race is struggling to survive.
