Mortaugh is a small orange cat who finds himself in deep water after stumbling into the ruins of a walled off city, he must find his way out if he has any chance of reuniting with his friends, along the way he might just make new friends of his own. it's a strange world he's stumbled upon isolated from the rest of the world by massive walls and he will have to use all of his intelligence and willpower if he is going to survive the unforgiving world of the dead city... Stray is a video game developed by Blue Twelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive, this is a fan story of the events that take place in this game and all intellectual property in this story are owned by Blue Twelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive. They made a fantastic game and they deserve the respect that this story will hopefully portray.

***THIS STORY IS BEING REWRITTEN CHAPTER BY CHAPTER*** "War... War never changes." The world has seen many technological advances since the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which was both a blessing and a curse. In 2072, a war breaks out between the modern sides of the Allies and the Axis. Americans, Germans and the British Colonies made up the Allies, while Russia, North Korea and China made up the main three of the Axis. The war was at its worst in 2077, when Y/N had just returned from a mission in Russia. He was sent home due to the alleged endangerment of his fellow soldiers; however, this granted him some immunity. His home was in a small town that was populated by no more than 30 people, and nearby was a cryogenics testing facility in the form of a vault. The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts.
