Kiara and Jack are having the best time of their lives. Pitch Black has been nowhere to be seen for a year, and Kiara and Jack's relationship are thriving more than ever. The only downside is that Kiara gets these nightmares once and a while with her father pleading to tell her the truth about her mother, who died a long time ago. Kiara has put these nightmares to the side for now, but they have always come back, and they worry her. Her partner, Jack, is worried as well and little do they know... but these nightmares will lead them to more secrets, more horrors, more truth that cannot stand being in the dark anymore. Kiara thinks that she has to bear her cross alone, but Jack wants to help her. Will Jack be able to help her? Or will Kiara end up bearing a load she knows she can't hold alone?
