This is my story of fear. This is basically a memoir of my life with my father, who mentally and emotionally abused me, though I didn't realize it for years. I will try as much as I can to write it as factually as possible but I will definitely be biased. Do not read if you are looking for a happy memoir. Please respect me and others going through something similar. Also, don't be afraid to let others know if you need help. Once I did that, things got much better.

Jo's brothers are his world. He's spent his entire life sacrificing everything to give them the life he's never had. Having battled through a horrific childhood, his every breath is for the benefit of his brothers, who gave him a reason to live through those years. It is an act of selflessness that throws him in the path of a woman who actually sees him, not just his scars. Rachel not only recognizes his worth, but is willing to step into his life and share his experiences, no matter how difficult. Despite their mutual attraction, the past and present seem determined to keep them apart. Jo faces another battle: this time against prejudice, past threats, and most powerful of all, the demons inside his head.
