Mature
After a mission gone wrong, you get injured resulting in a permanent limp and nerve damage in your right leg. You've been relieved of your duties and are left with nothing. You dedicated your whole life to your task force, and now you have to rebuild from scratch. Everything feels hopeless...

Then one day, Kate Laswell approaches you with an offer to come back and work for the CIA as an Intelligence Officer. You're stunned. What would the CIA want with a prematurely retired soldier with a limp and chronic back pain? After your failed mission, you're not sure if you can go back. But with nothing else left to lose, you accept.

You're brought on to the team and work as a strategist for several different task forces, before finally being placed in task force 141. You've heard rumors about them being the best of the best, and apparently, they've heard rumors about you too...

Perhaps not all hope is lost...

Samantha Hall is a highly skilled soldier who's been recruited into the Task Force 141 by her father, General Shepherd. She knows she'll have no problem fitting in, especially when connecting to the other comrades, except one thing challenges that...and his name is John MacTavish. With a stubborn and sarcastic attitude, "Soap" is sure to drive Sam to the brink of insanity. Until he doesn't. Now with a more meaningful relationship with the handsome soldier, Sam finds herself questioning the trust she has in her father, especially as he turns his back on his own men. In a war of alliances, Samantha finds herself stuck between two different worlds: one with Soap and one without. Upon becoming part of a dangerous game, Sam is sure to stay with the men she knows best. Doing so will result in unprepared deaths and haunting twists, but Sam hopes the training instilled in her brain will help her evade the bullets whistling around her. ✧ ✧ ✧ WARNING- Will contain mature scenes that can include blood/violence, strong/offensive language, sexual activity, and alcohol/drugs. Read at your own preparation and discretion. DISCLAIMER- I do not own anything related to Modern Warfare 2 or 3. That belongs to affiliates of Call of Duty and all game creators. However, Samantha, some plot, and some situations are my ideas entirely, so I reserve all rights to them. Please do not take without asking. NOTE TO READERS- Thank you so much for the support and for continuing to read my stories. I truly hope you enjoy this fanfic from the traditional (2009) games that inspired me to write Call of Duty for y'all. I love each and every one of you so much!

As a criminal profiler, I'm trained to read minds, not fall for one. Assigned to Task Force 141 to catch a demon from Ghost's past proves more difficult than anticipated, because the masked man I need answers from swears he will never trust me. He won't even let me say his name. But, despite our mutual hatred, a spark kindles between us. And since fires don't ask for permission to burn... we're about to go up in flames.
