We start our story years into the future when a 25-year-old Nick moves back to town after college to teach at Thruman as a coach. Now, everything has changed. Charlie has studied math at a local college, but his band is becoming more successful, and his dreams of becoming a writer are getting lost in the pressure . Nick is "happy" and in love... or so he thinks. Charlie has an ever lasting none boyfriend. Every piece of the puzzle is coming back home... but when they all left, everything was broken. Pieces of love and friendship are missing, but a feeling remains. Even before all that happened, they still hope to see each other again.

A Secret Life, A Rekindled Love.
Twenty-year-old Charlie Spring's life is a whirlwind of scraped knees, bedtime stories, and the beautiful, chaotic symphony of raising four young children. There's Alice, his thoughtful five-year-old, the boisterous four-year-old twins, Oscar and Olivia, and little Leo, a curious three-year-old whose father remains a painful mystery. Charlie loves them fiercely, but their existence is a meticulously guarded secret, especially from the world outside his small flat. For five months, Charlie has been secretly dating Nick Nelson, his first love, the boy who once helped him piece himself back together. Nick, now twenty-one, is still the kind, warm presence Charlie remembers, and their rekindled romance is everything Charlie ever dreamed of. But the shadows of his past, particularly the trauma linked to the twins' father, Ben Hope, and the gnawing uncertainty of Leo's paternity, make him terrified to reveal the truth. As Charlie navigates the daily demands of single parenthood and the exhilarating, yet terrifying, new chapter with Nick, the walls he's built around his life begin to crack. How long can he keep his two worlds separate? And when they inevitably collide, will the love he shares with Nick be strong enough to withstand the truth, or will Charlie's carefully constructed life crumble around him?

He always opens up to Charlie about things but can never get him to open up. Well it's time to do something about it, he can't continue ignoring it like it isn't a problem. Will contain lots of cute fluff moments and a lot of cuddling, it is not all angst and is actually quite a feel good book.
