On the continent of Qanoras most magical organisations jealously guard their secrets in order to maintain their influence. This means that those who wish to command magic of their own often only have one choice: Warlockry. The practice of contacting a powerful entity, and bargaining with them for power. Now that the impressive feats of some of these Warlocks are coming to light, more and more people are willing to take the risk.

In the country of Getemen, party leader Annemiek Smalbrugge is trying to put together a comprehensive set of laws to govern this growing phenomenon. To that end, she has requested the help of an expert in the field: A contract-lawyer named Jurian Cornelissen.

In letters between the two, Jurian recounts the stories of how he came into contact with various Warlocks, and over time figured out the interplanar laws that govern their contracts.

Foreword: A plant can thrive or a plant can die with or without attention. Whether it's lovingly nurtured or butchered makes no difference really but sometimes they can come back stronger than ever. It's a relationship where we need each other more than we think about really and we take them all for granted like we do each other. One seed can sow doubt or it can sow hope. Wonder what would happen to the world if such a seed existed inside a person and it finally bloomed? Synopsis: Briar was made a slave and an orphan on the same day she was born. She serves at the castle she was born in, the court of winter. Everyone can command her to do tasks and she has no freedom to leave. Those at the top of this world are the ruling Fae, next are ruling humans, next Fae, free humans, protected slaves and then the banished ones. At least as a slave she has a chance at earning her freedom from a ruling Fae to pardon her. She is also something more which is discovered as she grows up but she must keep it hidden to protect herself. As she masters her skills, she, along with her friends, are given the opportunity to leave and earn her freedom. It's the first step in finding herself and her answers and perhaps it could change her life in ways she couldn't imagine when she was taking everyone's orders in the kitchen. But first she must rescue a prince from a dungeon... (Small warning) Contains suggestions of non consensual sexual relationships of a business kind but no graphic detail. This is a story about a main female character in a reverse harem situation as well. (Book cover made from Book Covers app)

In the kingdom of Ascar, 17-year-old Ayben begins his second year at the prestigious Dressdardon Magic Academy. This year, he achieves a significant milestone by forming a Soul Pact with Rizel, a mirror familiar from the enigmatic Mirror Realm, a parallel dimension where reflections and illusions take sentient forms. While soul pacts are celebrated achievements that significantly enhance a mage's power, Rizel's cold and distant demeanor surprises Ayben, as such bonds are typically founded on deep friendships. The lack of a strong connection hinders Ayben's Soul-Bound magic, leaving it practically non existent. As Ayben and Rizel confront imminent dangers, embark on daring adventures and navigate the academy's complex magical curriculum, their bond slowly deepens despite their initial conflicts. Meanwhile, Ascar faces escalating threats from the Fae, a mystical race with ancient powers and conflicting agendas. With the kingdom's stability at risk and war with the Fae approaching, Ayben's relationship with Rizel is tested like never before. His evolving feelings for Rizel add further complexity as he strives to balance his personal emotions with his responsibilities. In a world where magic and politics are perpetually at odds, Ayben must push his limits and find a path to peace amid the chaos. She shrugged, "by the looks of it, your going to be a father soon." Darkness exploded through the room. Cutting out my vision, it seeped through the windows, blocking out any visible light. Calloused hands pressed down against my shoulders, holding me in place. Soothing talons scraped down my mental barriers, trying to pry them open. I could feel his presence through the dark, feel the warmth of his body as he stood in front of me. The darkness subsided to uncover the violet stare of Rhysand eyes gazing down at me. Talons scraped at my mental walls once more before he spoke down our bond, Is this true? I looked to my mate, "Yes." He receded a few steps, stumbling over his words, "how?" "Well, when a mummy and a daddy love each other very much-" "HOW?" He snapped, cutting me off. Sighing, I relaxed my wings, exhausted from today's events, and let them slide to the floor.
