On October 21st, 2009, 9 year old Elizabeth Olten was murdered at the hands of 15 year old Alyssa Bustamante.

Alyssa had convinced younger sister, Emma, to bring Elizabeth to their home. She later on led Olten to the woods that day. Where she had strangled and stabbed her, she then buried her in a hole she had dug up the Friday before, burying her body.

Alyssa is now serving life sentence + 30 years. In 2024 Alyssa will be trialing for parole. Even if she ends up getting this parole, she will still have to face the other 30 years, meaning she will be in her 60s before she ever makes it out.

I am writing this of Alyssa Bustamante to reach out, to prove that she is something more than just a monster or your average 'murderer' that she was a child whom had a life ahead of her, who deserved to live it.
