Cycles of Fate

Rufus Kovalchen, a renown Venati or Hunter for the Ecclesia Occultus. Hunters' only job is to track down and neutralize Magi, people capable of wielding Apeironic substances. Apeiron in itself is inherently dangerous to humans or any other being that wields it directly. Being wielders themselves, Rufus and many other Hunters grow increasingly disillusioned with Ecclesia and their stated goals, as information leaks and infiltration slowly breaks down the organization from within.

The non-Magi part of humanity was not asleep during the last millennia either. While mortals fight their petty wars and conflicts, redrawing borders, governments around the world have been keenly aware of Ecclesia's activity and the increasing incidents involving Magi and Venati confrontations. Special departments of various nations have been assigned to investigating the threat and developing counter measures. Only time will tell if Ecclesia has a full on war brewing on their hands.

Meanwhile, Old Folk races from Eard's past live among the human Magi covenants. The three biggest covenants sense the tides shifting with Ecclesia internal struggles and the non-Magi world slowly getting involved. Could this be the prime time to make their move and strike at their foe's very hearts?
