In the year 3024, 15-year-old Aliza Brookes is stuck in a world where aliens have come to Earth. Not to share their knowledge or ask humans about theirs, they have come to kill and take over Earth.

The remaining people of Earth have been taken to the United States of America to help with the R.S.P.T. association at the White House's underground bunker.

The government has captured aliens and tested their strengths and weaknesses using humans as their test subjects. The government brought scientists to prod at aliens by prodding at humans, they brought security to make sure the humans didn't escape or attack the scientists, and they brought doctors to cure the humans so they could continue testing.

Aliza is chosen to be a Beta-Tester along with her younger twin siblings. Beta's are the humans put into cages to be attacked by aliens so the scientists can determine the alien's strengths and weaknesses. Aliza will do anything to save the twins, they're all she has left. She'll do whatever it takes to rescue the twins, escape the underground bunker, and find the last of the human population.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! "As far back as I can remember, I've been surrounded by water. The salt in the air even now makes it hard to breath, forcing me to squint. Sand clings to every inch of me, caking my pants and shoes. The wind from the ocean picks my hair up, sending it blowing back towards the multi-colored houses lining the shore line. *** 'Quinn, don't panic,' Lexi says through gritted teeth. She holds fistfuls of my shirt now, and I hear the rubber soles of her shoes squeaking. 'Too late,' I whine, grabbing the barbed wire in a last desperate effort to regain some balance. The razor sharp blades cut into my palms, making me jump again. Lexi sucks in air and loses her grip on me. I hold my breath and close my eyes, feeling the wind cradle me from all sides as I fall at about twenty-four miles per hour, considering the height of the wall and my weight. Now, I wish I was surrounded by water." South of Compound 4, another compound exists. Within the wall of Compound 5, children are trained and tested for perfection through the Intelligence Exam, a test that every student takes during their sixteenth year. Pass, and you stay within the compound. Fail, and you are sent to another compound. It's common knowledge that they are building a perfect population to remain when the rest of the world falls to the Virus. Yet, what happens when Quinn faces the threat of Compound 5, a short blonde girl whose name he can't pronounce, and begins to question everything he's ever been taught, pushing the limits of the system and his own comfort zone? When a student receives the compound's first ever perfect IE score, a storm makes its way in from the ocean. Can Q unravel the secrets held within the walls, or will he lead his family and friends to a war they can't win against a woman who seems to be triumphing against all odds? Selected is the sequel to Immune, found on my profile. Record Ranking: #25 in Science Fiction

"The difficulties lay not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping old ones" Technology had been playing its most important in the human lifestyle in this modern world. Everywhere we go every man on Earth, would have various gadgets around them. The world is now borderless. Everyone can communicate with anyone no matter where they are. There aren't any more boundaries between societies. Other than that, with the presence of the Internet man, could seek various kinds of information from multiple websites; be it useful or harmful. Death had not been any man's fear. Even though it is a fact that every man would pass to the afterlife when the time had come, they do not fear the consequences they had to bear later. Some mistakes weren't well observed as not everyone was gifted with good observation and understanding skills. Due to that, some man was blind by revenge. Hatred and revenge burnt in their heart and soul forgetting that the law is still being upheld. Letters and notes were old ways to express someone's feelings. With the new technology, many had decided to move on, using e-mails and social media to express what they feel. Having a note in a home compound might be exciting for anyone but not Addison Lore. Those notes were sent to her without fail for fourteen continuous days. Even a red ruby ring. Will she be able to escape the fate she was about to face? Or would she succumb to her unknown fate leading her to nothing but death itself? (JustWriteIt 2017)

"Pretty girls like you shouldn't be out of town on your own." His raggedy silver beard, smell of sweat, cigarettes and just the persona of dominance made me want to recoil back in fear as a sick Cheshire grin creeped up his face. "Good thing I have a gun." I mutter back bitterly. Francesca only being seventeen, has to worry about more then just boys and high school. Since a young age Francesca has taken up the role of being a motherly figure for not only her own self, but her younger brother, Max, since her mothers passing. Since the infamous disease, Beutionus, has spread over the world, Francesca's life has taken a turn. Even though her state has been secured off, some people whom are infected somehow seem to sneak in and rise havoc. The infected are no longer considered humane, they crave flesh and have all taken an animalistic side, resorting to eating and devouring anything with a heart beat. No compassion, no empathy. No remembrances of their past life. When Francesca's state is found to no longer be secure, she finds her and her family, far past the "safe" borders to which the President has proclaimed. What dangerous fate will Francesca be tossed into?
